Exposing the Fallacies and Boo-boos of Eli Soriano and his minions
“During his daily morning mass, Pope Francis talks about the humanity of Jesus. He encouraged people to see Jesus as a Man who still prays for us. The Pope explained that through His wounds reminds the Father that He paid the ultimate price to save humanity.”

Lay Person said: The Pope however said, “Some ask, is Jesus is a spirit? Jesus is not a spirit?” This statement simply says that JESUS IS NOT A SPIRIT. It does not say that Jesus is not God.”
JOHN 14:24 SAYS “GOD IS A SPIRIT: AND THEY THAT WORSHIP HIM MUST WORSHIP HIM IN SPIRIT AND IN TRUTH.” YOU CANNOT SAY THAT JESUS IS NOT A SPIRIT AND SAY THAT HE IS GOD AT THE SAME TIME. THE STATEMENT OF THE LORD, “GOD IS A SPIRIT” IS DECLARATIVE. AGAIN, LET THE POPE EXPLAIN TO THE CATHOLIC PUBLIC WHAT HE SAID AND DO NOT DO DAMAGE CONTROL BY TRYING TO EXPLAIN WHAT HE SAID. HE SAID IT CLEARLY AND REGARDLESS OF THE CONTEXT, IT IS A STATEMENT THAT STANDS ON ITS OWN. HE CLEARLY SAID THAT JESUS IS NOT A SPIRIT.

Here is my answer to Erick Quinto, a minion of the false teacher Eli Soriano, the Bible charlatan:

THE SON IS GOD; GOD IS SPIRIT; THEREFORE THE SON IS SPIRIT:
• No one is denying that God is Spirit.  And because God is Spirit, the Son who came out from God is God and Spirit too.
God is a Spirit: and they that worship him must worship him in spirit and in truth.  (Jn 4:24, King James Version).
• In the days when he was in the flesh (cf Heb 5:7), the Son said He came out from God:
At that day ye shall ask in my name: and I say not unto you, that I will pray the Father for you: for the Father himself loveth you, because ye have loved me, and have believed that I came out from God.  I came forth from the Father, and am come into the world: again, I leave the world, and go to the Father.  His disciples said unto him, Lo, now speakest thou plainly, and speakest no proverb.  Now are we sure that thou knowest all things, and needest not that any man should ask thee: by this we believe that thou camest forth from God.  (Jn 16:26-30, KJV)
• Because the Son came out from God, He is called the only begotten Son of God, and a Spirit:
For unto which of the angels said he at any time, Thou art my Son, this day have I begotten thee? And again, I will be to him a Father, and he shall be to me a Son?  (Heb 1:5, KJV)
So also Christ glorified not himself to be made an high priest; but he that said unto him, Thou art my Son, today have I begotten thee.  (Heb 5:5, KJV)
No man hath seen God at any time; the only begotten Son, which is in the bosom of the Father, he hath declared him.  (Jn 1:18, KJV)
That which is born of the flesh is flesh; and that which is born of the Spirit is spirit.  (Jn 3:6, KJV)
• Because the Son came out from God, ie Spirit from Spirit, God from God, the Father called Him God twice and the Lord who made the heavens and the earth:
But unto the Son he saith, Thy throne, O God (SON), is for ever and ever: a sceptre of righteousness is the sceptre of thy kingdom.  Thou hast loved righteousness, and hated iniquity; therefore God (SON), even thy God (FATHER), hath anointed thee (MADE CHRIST) with the oil of gladness above thy fellows.  And, Thou, Lord (SON), in the beginning hast laid the foundation of the earth; and the heavens are the works of thine hands: (Heb 1:8-10, KJV, emphasis mine)
Note: The Father anointed the Son (MADE CHRIST) and called Him Lord in the beginning before He made the heavens and the earth, as it was written:
Therefore let all the house of Israel know assuredly, that God hath made that same Jesus, whom ye have crucified, both Lord and Christ.  (Act 2:36, KJV)
Beyond reasonable doubt, the Son of God who came out from God who is Spirit is God and Spirit too, and He was made both Lord and Christ in the beginning before the foundation of the world.  Thus, Christ the Spirit is the eternal Son of God.

IS JESUS THE SON OF GOD WHO IS GOD AND SPIRIT THAT CAME OUT FROM GOD?
• The name JESUS was first announced by the angel Gabriel to the Blessed Virgin Mary who conceived Him in this wise:
And the angel said unto her, Fear not, Mary: for thou hast found favour with God.  And, behold, thou shalt conceive in thy womb, and bring forth a son, and shalt call his name JESUS.  (Lk 1:30-31, KJV)
But while he thought on these things, behold, the angel of the Lord appeared unto him in a dream, saying, Joseph, thou son of David, fear not to take unto thee Mary thy wife: for that which is conceived in her is of the Holy Ghost.  And she shall bring forth a son, and thou shalt call his name JESUS: for he shall save his people from their sins.  (Mt 1:20-21, KJV)
• From the foregoing passages above, Jesus was conceived by Mary and not by God.  And in the following passages below, Jesus was born of Mary, that is, Jesus came out from Mary and not from God:
And Joseph also went up from Galilee, out of the city of Nazareth, into Judaea, unto the city of David, which is called Bethlehem; (because he was of the house and lineage of David:) to be taxed with Mary his espoused wife, being great with child.  And so it was, that, while they were there, the days were accomplished that she should be delivered.  And she brought forth her firstborn son, and wrapped him in swaddling clothes, and laid him in a manger; because there was no room for them in the inn.  (Lk 2:4-7, KJV)
Then Joseph being raised from sleep did as the angel of the Lord had bidden him, and took unto him his wife: and knew her not till she had brought forth her firstborn son: and he called his name JESUS.  (Mt 1:24-25, KJV)
• Jesus being the Son of Mary is the Son of Man; Jesus being the Son of Man is flesh and blood for He partakes of the flesh and blood of His mother Mary:
Forasmuch then as the children are partakers of flesh and blood, he also himself likewise took part of the same; that through death he might destroy him that had the power of death, that is, the devil; and deliver them who through fear of death were all their lifetime subject to bondage.  (Heb 2:14-15, KJV)
Then Jesus said unto them, Verily, verily, I say unto you, Except ye eat the flesh of the Son of man, and drink his blood, ye have no life in you.  Whoso eateth my flesh, and drinketh my blood, hath eternal life; and I will raise him up at the last day.  For my flesh is meat indeed, and my blood is drink indeed.  He that eateth my flesh, and drinketh my blood, dwelleth in me, and I in him.  (Jn 6:53-56, KJV)
• Jesus being born of the flesh is flesh and not spirit:
That which is born of the flesh is flesh; and that which is born of the Spirit is spirit.  (Jn 3:6, KJV)
Thus, Jesus the Man is not the Son of God who is God and Spirit that came out from God, but rather, it was Christ the Spirit as we shall soon unravel.

IF JESUS THE MAN IS NOT THE SON OF GOD WHO IS GOD AND SPIRIT THAT CAME OUT FROM GOD, THEN WHO IS THE SON OF GOD WHO IS GOD AND SPIRIT THAT CAME OUT FROM GOD?
• In the following passage, Christ the Spirit was prophesied to be born in Bethlehem of Judaea and when the prophecy was fulfilled, the same Christ the Spirit became Jesus the Man:
Now when Jesus was born in Bethlehem of Judaea in the days of Herod the king, behold, there came wise men from the east to Jerusalem, saying, Where is he that is born King of the Jews? for we have seen his star in the east, and are come to worship him.  When Herod the king had heard these things, he was troubled, and all Jerusalem with him.  And when he had gathered all the chief priests and scribes of the people together, he demanded of them where Christ should be born.  And they said unto him, In Bethlehem of Judaea: for thus it is written by the prophet, and thou Bethlehem, in the land of Juda, art not the least among the princes of Juda: for out of thee shall come a Governor, that shall rule my people Israel.  (Mt 2:1-6, KJV)
• The prophet who prophesied Christ the Spirit shall be born in Bethlehem of Judaea was Micah who wrote:
But thou, Bethlehem Ephratah, though thou be little among the thousands of Judah, yet out of thee shall he come forth unto me that is to be ruler in Israel; whose goings forth have been from of old, from everlasting.  (Mic 5:2, KJV)
According to Micah, Christ the Spirit existed from of old, from everlasting, while Jesus the Man was born in Bethlehem of Judaea in the days of Herod the king.  Be that as it may, when Christ the Spirit who existed from everlasting was born in Bethlehem of Judaea in the days of Herod the king, He became Jesus the Man.  Thenceforth, Christ the Spirit who became Jesus the Man was also called Jesus Christ, as mentioned 130 times in the Bible.  This truth of God shall be explained as we go along.
• Christ the Spirit, not Jesus the Man, is the eternal Word; Christ the Spirit, not Jesus the Man, was God Himself; Christ the Spirit, not Jesus the Man, is obviously the Spirit:
In the beginning [before all time] was the Word (Christ), and the Word was with God, and the Word was God Himself.  He was present originally with God.  (Jn 1:1-2, Amplified Bible)
Another rendition of John 1:1-2:
Before anything else existed, there was Christ, with God. He has always been alive and is himself God.  (Jn 1:1-2, The Living Bible)
John 1:1 says the Word (Christ) was God Himself; John 4:24 says God is Spirit; therefore the Word (Christ) is Spirit.  That is, Christ the Spirit.
Thus, Christ the Spirit aka the eternal Word, not Jesus the Man, is the Son of God who is God and Spirit that came out from God.

HOW CHRIST THE SPIRIT BECAME JESUS THE MAN:
• How Christ the Spirit, who existed from everlasting and who is the Son of God who is God and Spirit that came out from God, become Jesus the Man:
1.  Jesus the Man is flesh and blood because all men are flesh and blood, that is, Jesus the Man is body and soul because all men are body and soul:
Then Jesus said unto them, Verily, verily, I say unto you, Except ye eat the flesh of the Son of man, and drink his blood, ye have no life in you.  (Jn 6:53, KJV)
And Jesus answered and said unto him, Blessed art thou, Simon Bar-jona: for flesh and blood hath not revealed it unto thee, but my Father which is in heaven.  (Mt 16:17, KJV)
Will the Lord be pleased with thousands of rams, or with ten thousands of rivers of oil? shall I give my firstborn for my transgression, the fruit of my body for the sin of my soul?  (Mic 6:7, KJV)
And fear not them which kill the body, but are not able to kill the soul: but rather fear him which is able to destroy both soul and body in hell.  (Mt 10:28, KJV)
2.  God revealed to St. Paul that man is wholly spirit, soul and body:
And the very God of peace sanctify you wholly; and I pray God your whole spirit and soul and body be preserved blameless unto the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ.  (1 Thes 5:23, KJV)
As discussed above, Jesus the Man is body and soul but according to St. Paul, man also has a spirit.  Thus, to complete the manhood of Jesus the Man, God sent the eternal Word aka Christ the Spirit who existed from eternity and who is the Son of God who is God and Spirit that came out from God as the Spirit of Jesus the Man:
But when the fullness of the time was come, God sent forth his Son (THE ETERNAL WORD AKA CHRIST WHO IS GOD AND SPIRIT), made of a woman, made under the law, (Gal 4:4, KJV, emphasis mine).
The sending forth of His Son (the eternal Word aka Christ the Spirit) to be made of a woman by God is the main subject of the Catechism of the Catholic Church No. 466 in this wise:
The Nestorian heresy regarded Christ as a human person joined to the divine person of God’s Son. Opposing this heresy, St. Cyril of Alexandria and the third ecumenical council, at Ephesus in 431, confessed “that the Word, uniting to himself in his person the flesh animated by a rational soul, became man.”  Christ’s humanity has no other subject than the divine person of the Son of God, who assumed it and made it his own, from his conception. For this reason the Council of Ephesus proclaimed in 431 that Mary truly became the Mother of God by the human conception of the Son of God in her womb: “Mother of God, not that the nature of the Word or his divinity received the beginning of its existence from the holy Virgin, but that, since the holy body, animated by a rational soul, which the Word of God united to himself according to the hypostasis, was born from her, the Word is said to be born according to the flesh.”
Hypothetically, if God did not send forth His Son (THE ETERNAL WORD AKA CHRIST WHO IS GOD AND SPIRIT) to the Blessed Virgin Mary, Jesus would have been an ordinary human being composed of a created spirit, a created soul, and a created sinful body.  But the fact that God sent forth His Son (THE ETERNAL WORD AKA CHRIST WHO IS GOD AND SPIRIT) to the Blessed Virgin Mary, Jesus the Man is truly THE ETERNAL WORD AKA CHRIST WHO IS GOD AND SPIRIT made flesh or the God who was manifested in the flesh (cf Jn 1:1, 14; 1 Tm 3:16, KJV); Jesus being wholly composed of the uncreated eternal Word (aka Christ who is God and Spirit that came out from God) as His Spirit, a created Soul, and a created Holy Body.

CAN WE SAY THAT JESUS IS NOT A SPIRIT AND SAY THAT HE IS GOD AT THE SAME TIME?  YES, WE CAN!
1. Jesus is not a spirit but a person, a man, as Pope Francis preaches truthfully.  Christ the Spirit is the Spirit, not Jesus the Man.  If Pope Francis said, “Christ is not a spirit” then he would have been heretical, but the Pope is accurately explicit when he said, “Jesus is not a spirit!  Jesus is a person, a man, with flesh like ours, but full of glory.”
2.  Though Jesus is not a spirit but a person, a man, He is God at the same time.  Here are the biblical testimonies:
And we [have seen and] know [positively] that the Son of God has [actually] come to this world and has given us understanding and insight [progressively] to perceive (recognize) and come to know better and more clearly Him Who is true; and we are in Him Who is true—in His Son Jesus Christ (the Messiah). This [Man] is the true God and Life eternal.  (1 Jn 5:20, AMP)
Another rendition of 1 John 5:20:
We know that the Son of God has come and has given us understanding so that we know the real God. We are in the one who is real, his Son Jesus Christ. This Jesus Christ is the real God and eternal life.  (1 Jn 5:20, GOD’S WORD Translation)
Note: Jesus Christ refers to the eternal Word (aka Christ who is God and Spirit that came out from God) made flesh or the God who was manifested in the flesh:
Before anything else existed, there was Christ, with God. He has always been alive and is himself God.  (Jn 1:1-2, TLB)
And Christ became a human being and lived here on earth among us and was full of loving forgiveness and truth. And some of us have seen his glory—the glory of the only Son of the heavenly Father!  (Jn 1:14, TLB)
It is quite true that the way to live a godly life is not an easy matter. But the answer lies in Christ, who came to earth as a man, was proved spotless and pure in his Spirit, was served by angels, was preached among the nations, was accepted by men everywhere, and was received up again to his glory in heaven.  (1 Tm 3:16, TLB)
Another rendition of 1 Timothy 3:16:
And without controversy great is the mystery of godliness: God was manifest in the flesh, justified in the Spirit, seen of angels, preached unto the Gentiles, believed on in the world, received up into glory.  (1 Tm 3:16, KJV)
Moving on…
Let this same attitude and purpose and [humble] mind be in you which was in Christ Jesus: [Let Him be your example in humility:]  Who, although being essentially one with God and in the form of God [possessing the fullness of the attributes which make God God], did not think this equality with God was a thing to be eagerly grasped or retained, But stripped Himself [of all privileges and rightful dignity], so as to assume the guise of a servant (slave), in that He became like men and was born a human being.  And after He had appeared in human form, He abased and humbled Himself [still further] and carried His obedience to the extreme of death, even the death of the cross!  (Phil 2:5-8, AMP)
For in Him the whole fullness of Deity (the Godhead) continues to dwell in bodily form [giving complete expression of the divine nature].  (Col 2:9, KJV)
THEREFORE, contrary to the belief of Erick Quinto that:
“YOU CANNOT SAY THAT JESUS IS NOT A SPIRIT AND SAY THAT HE IS GOD AT THE SAME TIME,”
We can truly say that:
“JESUS IS NOT A SPIRIT AND HE IS GOD AT THE SAME TIME.”
