Just when those who slandered the immaculate life of the Most Holy Virgin had been censured, as well as those who denied Her Ever-Virginity, those who denied Her dignity as the Mother of God, and those who disdained Her icons – then, when the glory of the Mother of God had illuminated the whole universe, there appeared a teaching which seemingly highly exalted the Virgin Mary, but in reality denied all her virtues. This teaching is called that of the Immaculate Conception of the Virgin Mary, and it was accepted by the followers of the papal throne of Rome. The teaching is… the Mother of God at Her very Conception was preserved from original sin and, by the grace of God, was placed in a state where it was impossible for her to have personal sins… The teaching of the complete sinlessness of the Mother of God (1) does not correspond to Sacred Scripture, where there is repeatedly mentioned t e sinlessness of the “One Mediator between God and man, the man Jesus Christ (1 Tim. 2:5)… “Who did no sin, neither was guile found in His mouth” (1 Peter 2:22)…But concerning the rest of men it is said, “Who is pure of defilement? No one who has lived a single day of his life on earth” (Job 14:4)..
2) This teaching contradicts also Sacred Tradition, which is contained in numerous Patristic writings where there is mentioned the exalted sanctity of the Virgin Mary from Her very birth, as well as Her cleansing by the Holy Spirit at Her conception of Christ, but not at Her own conception by Anna…. However, even then, as Sts. Basil the Great and John Chrysostom speak of this, She was not placed in the state of being unable to sin, but continued to take care of Her salvation and overcame all temptations (St. John Chrysostom, Commentary on John, Homily 85; St. Basil the Great, Epistle 160)
(3) The teaching that the Mother of God was purified before Her birth, so that from Her might be born the Pure Christ, is meaningless; because if the Pure Christ could be born only if the Virgin might be born pure, it would be necessary that Her parents also should be pure of original sin, and they again would have to be born of purified parents, and going further in this way, one would have to come to the conclusion that Christ could not have become incarnate unless all His ancestors in the flesh, right up to Adam inclusive, had been purified beforehand of original sin. But then there would not have been any need for the very Incarnation of Christ, since Christ came down to earth in order to annihilate sin.
(4) The teaching that the Mother of God was preserved from original sin, as likewise the teaching that She was preserved by God’s grace from personal sins, makes God unmerciful and unjust because if God could preserve Mary from sin and purify Her before Her birth, then why does He not purify other men before their birth, but rather leaves them in sin? It follows likewise that God saves men apart from their will, predetermining certain ones before their birth to salvation.
(5) This teaching, which seemingly has the aim of exalting the Mother of God, in reality completely denies all Her virtues. After all, if Mary, even in the womb of Her mother, when She could not even desire anything either good or evil, was preserved by God’s grace from every impurity, and then by that grace was preserved from sin even after Her birth, then in what does Her merit consist? If She could have been placed in the state of being unable to sin, and did not sin, then for what did God glorify Her? If She, without any effort, and without having any kind of impulses to sin, remained pure, then why is She crowned more than everyone else? There is no victory without without an adversary.
The righteousness and sanctity of the Virgin Mary were manifested in the fact that She, being “human with passions like us,” so loved God and gave Herself over to Him, that by Her purity She was exalted high above the rest of the human race. For this, having been foreknown and fore-chosen, She was vouchsafed to be purified by the Holy Spirit Who came upon Her, and to conceive of Him the very Savior of the world. The teaching of the grace-given sinlessness of the Virgin Mary denies Her victory over temptations; from a victor who is worthy to be crowned with crowns of glory, this makes Her a blind instrument of God’s Providence.
It is not an exaltation and greater glory, but a belittlement of Her, this “gift” which was given Her by Pope Pius IX and all the rest who think they can glorify the Mother of God by seeking out new truths. – St. John Maximovitch (+1966), The Orthodox Veneration of the Mother of God, Ch. VI.http://www.trueorthodoxy.org

Aquino Bayani:
There goes the most grievous fault of Orthodox Petrus aleutian.
Like Eve who was easily deceived by Satan, Petrus also think he is like gods who know what is good and what is bad (cf GEN 3:5).
MY THOUGHTS ARE NOT YOUR THOUGHTS
In thinking that the Immaculate Conception of the Virgin Mary is bad and not good, Petrus lords it over God who said:
IS 55:7-9 Let the scoundrel forsake his way, and the wicked man his thoughts; Let him turn to the LORD for mercy; to our God, who is generous in forgiving. For my thoughts are not your thoughts, nor are your ways my ways, says the LORD. As high as the heavens are above the earth, so high are my ways above your ways and my thoughts above your thoughts.
Contrary to the perverted opinion of Petrus that the Immaculate Conception of the Virgin Mary denied all her virtues, the opposite is true, that is, all her virtues are actually the fruit of her Immaculate Conception.
IMMACULATE LIFE AND EVER-VIRGINITY OF MARY
Without the Immaculate Conception of the Blessed Virgin Mary, it is impossible for her to lead an immaculate life and preserve her Ever-Virginity because a maculate conception entails concupiscence. The first glimmer of the Immaculate Conception of the Blessed Virgin Mary is found in the Book of Genesis (cf GEN 3:15 and onwards). One of the punishments meted out by God to Eve and to all her female descendants was this:
GEN 3:16 To the woman he said: “I will intensify the pangs of your childbearing; in pain shall you bring forth children. Yet your urge shall be for your husband, and he shall be your master.”
Evidently, the Virgin Mary was exempted from God’s punishment to Eve especially the concupiscence for her husband as shown in her obstinacy
to have a relation with Joseph, her betrothed, as is discernible in this
narration of Luke:
LK 1:26-34 In the sixth month, the angel Gabriel was sent from God to a town of Galilee called Nazareth, to a virgin betrothed to a man named Joseph, of the house of David, and the virgin’s name was Mary. And coming to her, he said, “Hail, favored one! The Lord is with you.” But she was greatly troubled at what was said and pondered what sort of greeting this might be. Then the angel said to her, “Do not be afraid, Mary, for you have found favor with God. Behold, you will conceive in your womb and bear a son, and you shall name him Jesus.
He will be great and will be called Son of the Most High, and the Lord God will give him the throne of David his father, and he will rule over the house of Jacob forever, and of his kingdom there will be no end.” But Mary said to the angel, “How can this be, since I have no relations with a man?”
If the Virgin Mary has a maculate conception and concupiscence is innate in her nature, then that hypothetical Mary should have been thrilled no end looking forward to her upcoming nuptial with Joseph and the consummation of their marriage so she can conceive and bear a son as announced by the angel Gabriel.
But God preserved Mary from the punishments He meted out to Adam
and Eve especially the concupiscence of the flesh. That is why the Virgin Mary, instead of shouting out for joy for being chosen as the mother of the Son of the Most High, remained adamant in her resolve of abstention from any form of concupiscence of the flesh including any and all sexual acts.
Mary’s response to the angel Gabriel, “How can this be, since I have no relations with a man?” means how can she conceive in her womb and bear the Son of the Most High if she has no intention of indulging into any sexual act not even to Joseph, her betrothed and future husband. God perfectly understand the plea of Mary, so He said to her through the angel Gabriel:
LK 1:35-37 And the angel said to her in reply, “The holy Spirit will come upon you, and the power of the Most High will overshadow you. Therefore the child to be born will be called holy, the Son of God. And behold, Elizabeth, your relative, has also conceived a son in her old age, and this is the sixth month for her who was called barren; for nothing will be impossible for God.”
Given the certitude that only the Holy Spirit and the power of the Most High, and not any man, will be responsible in her getting pregnant with the Son of God, thus, ensuring the preservation of her total virginity, the Virgin Mary in her own free choice give her unconditional fiat to God which brings to start the Salvation Era of the humankind:
LK 1:38 Mary said, “Behold, I am the handmaid of the Lord. May it be done to me according to your word.” Then the angel departed from her.
SEX DEFILES
The Virgin Mary’s invincible celibacy which is a result of her Immaculate Conception caused her Ever-Virginity and enhanced her immaculate
life. If Joseph and Mary consummate their marriage, then the Most Holy Virgin Mary and the just Joseph would have been defiled, as the Bible alludes that sex defiles:
WISDOM 3:13 Yes, blessed is she who, childless and undefiled, knew not transgression of the marriage bed; she shall bear fruit at the visitation of souls.
RV 14:4 These are they who were not defiled with women; they are virgins and these are the ones who follow the Lamb wherever he goes. They have been ransomed as the firstfruits of the human race for God and the Lamb.
THE MOTHER OF GOD
Without the Immaculate Conception of the Blessed Virgin Mary, it is impossible for God to choose her as the Mother of God. And because nothing will be impossible for God, so He willed that the Virgin Mary be saved beforehand so that she can become the worthy Mother of God. That is why when Mary was pregnant with the Holy Son of God which was made possible by the Holy Spirit and the power of the Most High, she learned that she was already saved that she joyfully sang it in her beautiful Magnificat:
LK 1:46-49 And Mary said: “My soul proclaims the greatness of the Lord; my spirit rejoices in God my savior. For he has looked upon his handmaid’s lowliness; behold, from now on will all ages call me blessed. The Mighty One has done great things for me, and holy is his name.”
BE HOLY BECAUSE I AM HOLY
In His preexistence (before His incarnation), the LORD Jesus Christ said:
LEV 11:45 Since I, the LORD, brought you up from the land of Egypt that I might be your God, you shall be holy, because I am holy.
Proof that Jesus was the LORD who brought up Israel from Egypt:
JUDE 1:5 So I want to remind you, though you already know these things, that Jesus first rescued the nation of Israel from Egypt, but later he destroyed those who did not remain faithful. (New Living Translation)
JUDE 1:5 I will therefore admonish you, though ye once knew all things, that Jesus, having saved the people out of the land of Egypt, did afterwards destroy them that believed not: (Douay-Rheims Bible)
Therefore, if the LORD Jesus Christ is Holy, His Mother must be Holy because she will conceive in her immaculate womb and bear the Holy Child, God is with us, as these verses attests:
LK 1:26-27 In the sixth month, the angel Gabriel was sent from God to a town of Galilee called Nazareth, to a virgin betrothed to a man named Joseph, of the house of David, and the virgin’s name was Mary.
LK 1:30-31 Then the angel said to her, “Do not be afraid, Mary, for you have found favor with God. Behold, you will conceive in your womb and bear a son, and you shall name him Jesus.
LK 1:35 And the angel said to her in reply, “The holy Spirit will come upon you, and the power of the Most High will overshadow you. Therefore the child to be born will be called holy, the Son of God.
MT 1:21-23 “She will bear a son and you are to name him Jesus, because he will save his people from their sins.” All this took place to fulfill what the Lord
had said through the prophet: “Behold, the virgin shall be with child and bear a son, and they shall name him Emmanuel,” which means “God is with us.”
1COR 7:34b An unmarried woman or a virgin is anxious about the things of the Lord, so that she may be holy in both body and spirit. A married woman, on the other hand, is anxious about the things of the world, how she may please her husband.
MK 1:23-24 In their synagogue was a man with an unclean spirit; he cried out, “What have you to do with us, Jesus of Nazareth? Have you come to destroy us? I know who you are–the Holy One of God!”
LK 4:34 “Ha! What have you to do with us, Jesus of Nazareth? Have you come to destroy us? I know who you are–the Holy One of God!”
JN 6:69 “We have come to believe and are convinced that you are the Holy One of God.”
1 PT 1:15-16 but, as he who called you is holy, be holy yourselves in every aspect of your conduct, for it is written, “Be holy because I (am) holy.”
In fact, the Father foreordained the holiness and Immaculate Conception of the Blessed Virgin Mary, the Mother of God, even from eternity as this verse alludes:
Eph 1:3-4 Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who has blessed us in Christ with every spiritual blessing in the heavens, as he chose us in him, before the foundation of the world, to be holy and without blemish before him.
If the disciples of the Lord Jesus Christ are chosen in Him by God the Father, before the foundation of the world, to be holy and without blemish before him, then how much more the Blessed Virgin Mary, the Mother of God, is chosen in Him by God the Father, before the foundation of the world, to be holy and without blemish before him.
THE FIRST ICON OF MARY
And because the Blessed Virgin Mary is the Immaculate Ever-Virgin Mother of God, and out of reverence for her, Dr. Luke painted her first icon depicting her as the Madonna with the Holy Child Jesus Christ (cf Col 4:14; ST LUKE THE EVANGELIST, see https://www.ewtn.com/library/M… andhttp://www.fatima.org/essentia… ).
CONCLUSION
Therefore, the Immaculate Conception of the Virgin Mary do not deny all her virtues, but rather, all her virtues are actually the fruit of her Immaculate Conception.
