THE ANTICHRISTS’ FALSE TEACHING
The antichrists doggedly spread and fiercely defend their lies that neither Jesus Christ nor the Holy Spirit is God.
In their pretext to be blindly monotheistic, they disregarded and even opposed the pristine teaching of the Bible that although there is only one God, that one God has three Persons identified as the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit, as in these passages among many others:
For there are three that bear record in heaven, the Father, the Word, and the Holy Ghost: and these three are one.  (1Jn 5:7, King James Version)
Go ye therefore, and teach all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost: (Mt 28:19, KJV)
The grace of the Lord Jesus Christ, and the love of God, and the communion of the Holy Ghost, be with you all. Amen.  (2Cor 13:14, KJV)
Of the three Persons of the one God, let us focus on the Holy Spirit at the present time.
THE HOLY SPIRIT IS GOD AND A PERSON
These passages clearly prove that the Holy Spirit (or Holy Ghost) is God and a Person:
But a certain man named Ananias, with Sapphira his wife, sold a possession, and kept back part of the price, his wife also being privy to it, and brought a certain part, and laid it at the apostles’ feet.
But Peter said, Ananias, why hath Satan filled thine heart to lie to the Holy Ghost, and to keep back part of the price of the land?  Whiles it remained, was it not thine own? and after it was sold, was it not in thine own power? why hast thou conceived this thing in thine heart? thou hast not lied unto men, but unto God.
And Ananias hearing these words fell down, and gave up the ghost: and great fear came on all them that heard these things. 6 And the young men arose, wound him up, and carried him out, and buried him.  (Acts 5:1-5, KJV)
As they ministered to the Lord, and fasted, the Holy Ghost said, Separate me Barnabas and Saul for the work whereunto I have called them.  (Acts 13:2, KJV)
Wherefore I say unto you, All manner of sin and blasphemy shall be forgiven unto men: but the blasphemy against the Holy Ghost shall not be forgiven unto men.  And whosoever speaketh a word against the Son of man, it shall be forgiven him: but whosoever speaketh against the Holy Ghost, it shall not be forgiven him, neither in this world, neither in the world to come.  (Mt 12:31-32, KJV)
The blasphemy against the Holy Spirit is tantamount to taking the name of God in vain:
Thou shalt not take the name of the Lord thy God in vain; for the Lord will not hold him guiltless that taketh his name in vain.  (Ex 20:7, KJV)
WHEN DID THE HOLY SPIRIT EXIST?
The Holy Spirit is the Spirit of God and He proceeds from God the Father and Jesus Christ, whom the Father hath sent:
And grieve not the Holy Spirit of God, whereby ye are sealed unto the day of redemption.  (Eph 4:30,
He therefore that despiseth, despiseth not man, but God, who hath also given unto us his Holy Spirit.  (1Thes 4:8, KJV)
But when the Comforter is come, whom I will send unto you from the Father, even the Spirit of truth, which proceedeth from the Father, he shall testify of me: (Jn 15:26, KJV)
But the Comforter, which is the Holy Ghost, whom the Father will send in my name, he shall teach you all things, and bring all things to your remembrance, whatsoever I have said unto you.  (Jn 14:26, KJV)
Then said Jesus to them again, Peace be unto you: as my Father hath sent me, even so send I you.  And when he had said this, he breathed on them, and saith unto them, Receive ye the Holy Ghost: (Jn 20:21-22, KJV)
Although not mentioned specifically but because the Holy Spirit proceeds from the Father and Jesus Christ, the Holy Spirit is always present every time either the Father or Jesus Christ is mentioned as in these passages:
In the beginning [before all time] was the Word (Christ), and the Word was with God, and the Word was God Himself.  He was present originally with God.  (Jn 1:1-2, Amplified Bible)
But thou, Bethlehem Ephratah, though thou be little among the thousands of Judah, yet out of thee shall he come forth unto me that is to be ruler in Israel; whose goings forth have been from of old, from everlasting.  (Micah 5:2, KJV)
And now, O Father, glorify thou me with thine own self with the glory which I had with thee before the world was.  (Jn 17:5, KJV)
Before the mountains were brought forth, or ever thou hadst formed the earth and the world, even from everlasting to everlasting, thou art God.  (Ps 90:2, KJV)
I am Alpha and Omega, the beginning and the ending, saith the Lord, which is, and which was, and which is to come, the Almighty.  (Rv 1:8, KV)
Thus, because the Holy Spirit proceeds from God the Father and Jesus Christ, the Holy Spirit is coexistent, coeternal and consubstantial with the Father and the Son (in His preexistent form of God before He took upon himself the form of a servant, and was made in the likeness of men, cf Phil 2:5-7).
THE FATHER, THE SON, AND THE HOLY SPIRIT IN THE OLD TESTAMENT
In the story of creation, the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit were first mentioned:
In Genesis 1:1, the Father was first mentioned as the God who created the heaven and the earth:
In the beginning God created the heaven and the earth.  (Gen 1:1, KJV)
Have we not all one father? hath not one God created us? why do we deal treacherously every man against his brother, by profaning the covenant of our fathers?  (Mal 2:10, KJV)
In Genesis 1:2, the Holy Spirit of God was mentioned next:
And the earth was without form, and void; and darkness was upon the face of the deep. And the Spirit of God moved upon the face of the waters.  (Gen 1:2, KJV)
In Genesis 1:3, the Son of God was mentioned as the God who uttered the words (as He is the Word) and did the actual creation for the Father:
And God said, Let there be light: and there was light.  (Gen 1:3, KJV)
In the beginning [before all time] was the Word (Christ), and the Word was with God, and the Word was God Himself.  He was present originally with God.  All things were made and came into existence through Him; and without Him was not even one thing made that has come into being.  (Jn 1:1-3, AMP)
God, who at sundry times and in divers manners spake in time past unto the fathers by the prophets, hath in these last days spoken unto us by his Son, whom he hath appointed heir of all things, by whom also he made the worlds; who being the brightness of his glory, and the express image of his person, and upholding all things by the word of his power, when he had by himself purged our sins, sat down on the right hand of the Majesty on high; being made so much better than the angels, as he hath by inheritance obtained a more excellent name than they.  For unto which of the angels said he at any time, Thou art my Son, this day have I begotten thee? And again, I will be to him a Father, and he shall be to me a Son?  And again, when he bringeth in the firstbegotten into the world, he saith, And let all the angels of God worship him. And of the angels he saith, Who maketh his angels spirits, and his ministers a flame of fire.  But unto the Son he saith, Thy throne, O God, is for ever and ever: a sceptre of righteousness is the sceptre of thy kingdom. Thou hast loved righteousness, and hated iniquity; therefore God, even thy God, hath anointed thee with the oil of gladness above thy fellows.  And, Thou, Lord, in the beginning hast laid the foundation of the earth; and the heavens are the works of thine hands: (Heb 1:1-10, KJV)
In the passage below, the Word, that is, the preexistence of Jesus Christ, was narrating when the Lord God (the Father) and His Spirit (the Holy Spirit) hath sent Him (the Son), the Redeemer, the Holy One of Israel:
Come ye near unto me, hear ye this; I have not spoken in secret from the beginning; from the time that it was, there am I: and now the Lord God, and his Spirit, hath sent me.  Thus saith the Lord, thy Redeemer, the Holy One of Israel; I am the Lord thy God which teacheth thee to profit, which leadeth thee by the way that thou shouldest go.  (Isa 48:16-17, KJV)
In the verse below, the patriarch in the Old Testament knew that the Son of God existed already but it was not yet revealed to them that it was the Son who did the actual creating of the world:
Who hath ascended up into heaven, or descended? who hath gathered the wind in his fists? who hath bound the waters in a garment? who hath established all the ends of the earth? what is his name, and what is his son’s name, if thou canst tell?  (Prov 30:4, KJV)
According to the Bible, the Son’s name is Jesus.  It was the Son who hath ascended up into heaven, or descended:
(Now that he ascended, what is it but that he also descended first into the lower parts of the earth? He that descended is the same also that ascended up far above all heavens, that he might fill all things.)  (Eph 4:9-10, KJV)
It was the Son who hath gathered the wind in his fists, who hath bound the waters in a garment, who hath established all the ends of the earth:
But unto the Son he saith, Thy throne, O God, is for ever and ever: a sceptre of righteousness is the sceptre of thy kingdom. Thou hast loved righteousness, and hated iniquity; therefore God, even thy God, hath anointed thee with the oil of gladness above thy fellows.  And, Thou, Lord, in the beginning hast laid the foundation of the earth; and the heavens are the works of thine hands: (Heb 1:8-10, KJV)
Again there is no mention of the Holy Spirit in the verse above.  But as stated earlier, every time the Father or the Son is mentioned, it is a constant given that the Holy Spirit is automatically present as He is inherent in the Father and the Son.
As a matter of fact, the Holy Spirit was mentioned with God in several instances in the Old Testament as in these passages:
Create in me a clean heart, O God; and renew a right spirit within me.  Cast me not away from thy presence; and take not thy holy spirit from me.  (Ps 51:10-11, KJV)
“Who can ever learn the will of God?  Human reason is not adequate for the task, and our philosophies tend to mislead us, because our mortal bodies weigh our souls down. The body is a temporary structure made of earth, a burden to the active mind.  All we can do is make guesses about things on earth; we must struggle to learn about things that are close to us. Who, then, can ever hope to understand heavenly things?  No one has ever learned your will, unless you first gave him Wisdom, and sent your holy spirit down to him.”  (Wisdom 9:13-17, Today’s English Version, a Protestant Bible)
I will mention the lovingkindnesses of the Lord, and the praises of the Lord, according to all that the Lord hath bestowed on us, and the great goodness toward the house of Israel, which he hath bestowed on them according to his mercies, and according to the multitude of his lovingkindnesses.  For he said, Surely they are my people, children that will not lie: so he was their Saviour.  In all their affliction he was afflicted, and the angel of his presence saved them: in his love and in his pity he redeemed them; and he bare them, and carried them all the days of old.  But they rebelled, and vexed his Holy Spirit: therefore he was turned to be their enemy, and he fought against them.  (Isa 63:7-10, KJV)
Then he remembered the days of old, Moses, and his people, saying, Where is he that brought them up out of the sea with the shepherd of his flock? where is he that put his Holy Spirit within him?  (Isa 63:11, KJV)
